Composing Lessons

Music composition involves writing notes down on staff paper (sheet music) or inputting them into a sheet music or music production software, but there are a lot of other aspects that go into composing. I like to have fun with the student, giving them different choices to make, deciding what the piece will be about, and then the time signature they want, whether it is a major or minor key, what tempo, chord progression, etc.. AS they make these choices, then, I might write the left hand of a piano piece, and have them write the right hand, and ease them into composing in that way!

If you would like to give it a shot and do a first lesson with me (Greg), I teach in person (Wichita, KS) OR I can do online video call lessons through the app of your choice, although I prefer the 'Zoom' video call app, or Skype.

Rate:
$25 - 30 min lesson
$30 - 45 min lesson
$35 - 1 hour lesson

Try Greg out the first week just paying for that lesson, and if you like it and desire to continue, payments are made monthly (the cost of 4 weekly lessons paid ahead of time). If you miss a week, we can seek to find a makeup time if desired.

I will have my smartphone clipped into a holder that can get a nice bird's eye view of my hands and my keyboard.
